COLOMBIAN FLOOD RELIEF APPEAL IN THE UK
Dear Friend of Colombia,
The heaviest rains, in more than four decades, continue to fall in Colombia causing the overflow of creeks and rivers in 28 of the 32 departments affecting more than 2.2 million people, nearly 5% of the population, their homes, crops and livelihoods.
Today, the toll is staggering, 281 people have died, 271 have been injured and 68 are missing; 3,100 homes have been destroyed and more than 277,450 are severely damaged; 187,000 agricultural hectares have been affected and 221 roads have been blocked or rendered useless.
The Government of Colombia is working steadily to improve the situation and bring aid to all affected by the severe floods and landslides however, additional assistance is urgently required.

All donations received by them will be transferred directly to the Colombian Red Cross and the Trust Fund set up by the Government Foundation "Colombia Humanitaria", which has been created in order to accept monetary donations that will be allocated to help people and organisations working on the ground.
